# AI search reporting for agencies

An agency AI search report should show which customer questions were checked, where the client and competitors appeared, which sources were cited, what failed, and what changed since the last equivalent check. Keep the client summary simple and keep the evidence available for review.

## What should an agency AI search report include?

- The services, customer situations, and market covered by the report.
- The Google and AI surfaces checked during the reporting period.
- Client mentions, competitor mentions, cited domains, and available evidence.
- Blocked, missing, ambiguous, and failed observations shown as separate states.
- A comparison with the previous equivalent check, when one exists.
- Up to three actions tied to observed gaps, with a clear verification step.

## Client summary versus evidence detail

| Client summary | Evidence detail |
| --- | --- |
| Clear question themes | Exact rendered questions |
| Mentions and competitor patterns | Full answers and extracted entities |
| Cited source domains | Cited URLs and saved evidence |
| Market and reporting period | Provider, model, location, mode, and timestamp |
| Next action | Observed gap and later verification rule |

## How to explain uncertainty to a client

Use direct language: this report records what selected systems returned for approved questions in a stated market and period. It does not claim that every customer saw the same answer. A failed collection is a missing observation, not a zero result.
