# How Ask Proof Works

Ask Proof follows a human-first loop: define a real buying question, observe the answer, preserve the evidence, act on an observed gap, and check again using comparable conditions.

## 1. Define the question

Onboarding confirms the business profile, services, customer personas, canonical domain, and primary market context. The base question set covers an everyday category question, included service questions, confirmed persona questions, and branded reputation questions.

## 2. Observe each surface

Approved questions are rendered and checked across residential Google, OpenAI web search, Perplexity, Gemini grounded search, and Anthropic web search. Provider, model, surface, location, timestamp, and collection mode remain attached to the observation.

## 3. Preserve evidence

- Raw response and rendered text
- Screenshot where collected
- Citations and normalized domains
- Target, competitor, missing, blocked, ambiguous, and failed states

## 4. Act and rerun

Base reports may include up to three simple evidence-backed actions, each with a verification step. Later comparisons only use like-for-like observations and never turn uncertainty into a zero.
